What is the Payroll Reporting and Invoicing App?

Jebra automatically calculates time and attendance-based incentive pay for instructors and staff. The app integrates directly with your booking platform - MarianaTek, Mindbody, etc - to automatically fetch the details of all classes and shifts and calculate payouts including incentive pay for the target payroll period.

How does my business benefit from the App?

Businesses use Jebra via the Business App on https://app.jebra.io.

  • Jebra’s extremely flexible pay rate structure allows you to set pay rates per hour; per shift; per month; per pay period; or as a percentage of the revenue per shift.
  • You can also set pay rates by class names, class locations, class tags and class times, allowing you to pay your workers with maximum flexibility and accuracy.
  • Historical payout data is securely archived for easy access during audits or financial reviews.
  • Email your workers detailed paystubs (or draft invoices) for each payroll cycle.
  • Your workers can access and Jebra via the Workers App, which maximizes efficiency and transparency between business and workers with features such as the ability to:
    • Review and submit invoices for payment
    • Add custom details to include on invoices (e.g taxes, etc)
    • Review or monitor their work history, e.g to track milestones
    • For business that sign up for payroll processing, the Workers App allows your workers to onboard for payroll and access their payroll records.

How do my employees benefit from the App?

Employees use Jebra via the Workers App on https://workers.jebra.io. As outlined above, the Workers App enables your employees to:

  • Review and submit invoices for payment
  • Add custom details to include on invoices (e.g taxes, etc)
  • Review or monitor their work history, e.g to track milestones

How does Jebra handle different payment frequencies?

Jebra Payroll gives you maximum flexibility to run payroll on the schedule suitable for your business needs, for example:

  • Bi Weekly
  • Monthly
  • Custom Intervals
  • Ad-hoc (or manual) payroll runs

This flexibility means you can align your payroll operations with cash flow requirements and regulatory obligations, simplifying payroll management across diverse work arrangements.

Which currencies and countries does the Calculator support?

Jebra supports all the currencies and countries supported by MarianaTek. Multi-location businesses can manage all their locations via a single user account and set up the different locations on separate or shared dashboards as desired. However, locations with different currencies cannot share the same dashboard.

For business that sign up for Payroll Processing with Tax Filing, we only support USA and Canada at present. Support for other countries is planned for 2026 - stay tuned!

What is the lead time for payroll processing?

First Payroll Run:
For your very first payroll, the total lead time is 4 business days.

Here’s how it works:

Day 1: You run payroll in Jebra

Day 2: Funds are withdrawn from your bank account

Day 4: Employees receive their payments

This extended timeline is in place for fraud prevention and compliance purposes.

After Your First Successful Payroll:
Once your first payroll has been successfully processed, future payroll runs require only 2 business days.

Example:

Monday: You run payroll

Tuesday: Funds are withdrawn

Wednesday: Employees are paid

This faster processing applies to all subsequent payrolls.

How do holidays affect payroll processing?

Bank holidays can impact payroll timelines. If a holiday falls within your processing window, your payroll may be delayed.

We proactively send email notifications ahead of major bank holidays so you can plan your payroll runs accordingly and avoid unexpected delays.

Which countries and states do you currently support?

We currently support:

  • All 50 U.S. states
  • Canada (excluding Quebec)

If you operate in multiple states or provinces, Jebra can handle payroll calculations across supported regions.

Do you provide output templates for other payroll platforms?

Yes. We provide export/output templates that allow you to upload payroll data into other payroll providers.

For example, you can export payroll reports formatted for platforms like Gusto. This allows you to:

Calculate complex or custom pay rates in Jebra

Export finalized payroll numbers

Process payments directly through your preferred payroll provider

This flexibility ensures you can use Jebra for calculations while maintaining your existing payroll infrastructure.

What happens when an employee is terminated or becomes unemployed?

If an employee leaves your company:

  1. You terminate the worker directly from the Employer Portal.
  2. You can then exclude or delete them from your active worker list.

This ensures:

  • They are no longer included in payroll calculations
  • You are not charged for inactive workers
  • Your records remain clean and up to date

Properly updating worker status helps maintain accurate billing and payroll reporting.
