Custom Tags allow businesses to create advanced payroll rules and support more complex compensation structures. They help identify and group specific classes automatically so unique pay rates, incentives, or bonuses can be applied without requiring manual adjustments every payroll cycle.

Custom Tags are particularly useful when different rules apply to specific class scenarios, such as first or last classes of the day, weekend sessions, or peak-hour classes.

Supported Custom Cases

Jebra currently supports custom conditions such as:

First Class of Day – Applies a custom tag to the first class taught by an instructor during the day.

Last Class of Day – Applies a custom tag to the final class taught during the day.

Weekend Classes – Identifies classes that occur on weekends for separate compensation rules.

Peak Time Classes – Applies custom logic for classes during defined peak hours.

Additional custom scenarios can also be configured depending on business requirements.

Default Tag Behavior

By default, all classes are assigned the Standard tag. This acts as the baseline classification for payroll calculations.

However, custom configurations can be applied to change this behavior. For example:

Set all classes to default to Private

Apply specific tags automatically based on scheduling logic

Create customized tagging structures for unique business rules

Payroll Configuration

Once a custom tag is created, it can be used exactly like any other class tag when configuring pay rates:

Create separate pay rates for custom-tagged classes

Apply different incentives or bonuses

Build more advanced payroll structures without manual adjustments

For example:

Weekend Classes → Additional $10 bonus

First Class of Day → Different shift rate

Peak Time Classes → Higher compensation tier
